We are pleased to announce the launch of the website of the Amazon Restoration Company (ARC): www.arc-peru.com.
The Amazon Restoration Company (ARC) was established to restore forest landscapes in the Peruvian Amazon. Operating in the regions of Ucayali and Huánuco, ARC focuses on regenerating degraded and deforested lands—primarily former pastures—through a combination of:
- Mixed native tree plantations
- Natural forest restoration
- Agroforestry systems with smallholder partners
Our goal is to create long-term ecological and economic value. Through our restoration work, we contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and local livelihood development. In the productive areas, ARC will sustainably harvest and process timber from planted native species, with replanting ensuring continuous forest cover and productivity. In parallel, the growing forests capture and store CO₂, generating high-quality carbon credits for the international voluntary carbon market under the highest international standards.
Since its conceptual development in 2020 by Form International, ARC has grown into a dedicated restoration company, formally incorporated in 2022. Since end of 2024, it is further developed and managed by Keystone Forestry Partners with support of trusted partners Treevive and Form International, building on decades of expertise in sustainable forestry, climate finance, and community engagement.
What we have achieved so far:
- 170 hectares of land under restoration and sustainable management
- 110 hectares of mixed native tree plantations established
- 57 hectares under natural forest restoration
- 160 hectares of agroforestry developed through outgrower partnerships
- 99 smallholder families participating in the outgrower program, across 10 partner communities
